Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") outline the agreement between Paws Unleashed ("we," "us," or "our") and you, the client ("you" or "your"), regarding our dog walking and pet sitting services. By booking or using our services, you agree to abide by these Terms.
General Terms
Booking and Communication: All bookings should be made in advance. We will confirm bookings via your preferred communication method (e.g., email, text message). Please ensure all contact details for yourself and your emergency contacts are up-to-date.
Safety and Welfare: Your pet's safety and well-being are our top priority. We will always act in the best interest of your pet. In the event of an emergency, we will attempt to contact you immediately. If we are unable to reach you, we reserve the right to seek veterinary attention for your pet, with all costs to be covered by you unless as a result of proven neglect or negligence on the part of Paws Unleashed
You must provide up to date emergency contact information for yourself and at least one alternate person who can make decisions regarding your pets' care in your absence.
Aggressive Animals: We reserve the right to refuse service for any animal that displays aggressive behaviour towards people or other animals, or if we believe providing services would put our staff or others at risk.
Liability: While we take every precaution to ensure the safety of your pet and your property, Paws Unleashed will not be held liable for any loss, injury, or death of your pet, or damage to your property, unless caused by our proven negligence.
Client Responsibilities: You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information about your pet's health, temperament, behaviour, allergies, health problems, injuries and any special needs. You must also ensure your pet is up-to-date on all vaccinations, flea, and worming treatments. Any changes to your pet’s health or care needs must be shared with Paws Unleashed before commencement of further services.
If your dog becomes in season, you must inform Paws Unleashed before commencement on any further walks and Paws Unleashed reserves the right to cancel walks as a result if it is not deemed appropriate.
Privacy: We will store your personal information securely and will not share it with third parties, except as necessary to provide our services (e.g., in an emergency, contacting your vet).
Changes to Terms: Paws Unleashed reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any significant changes.
Paws Unleashed reserves the right to cancel any services due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g illness, extreme weather) and will provide as much notice as possible. In these cases there will be no charges for services and refunds will be issued if payment has been made in advance.
Paws Unleashed will inform you as soon as is reasonably practical of any concerns or issues that have occurred whilst in our care.
Paws Unleashed will keep insurance for both dog walking and pet sitting. This insurance covers up to 6 dogs per walk.
If the dog exhibits aggressive or dangerous behaviour not disclosed prior to commencement of the service, Paws Unleashed reserves the right to terminate services immediately without refund.
Paws Unleashed will take all reasonable precautions to prevent damage to the clients property and will not be held responsible for accidental damage to the clients property that is not a direct result of our gross negligence or wilful misconduct. This includes, but is not limited to, pet-related damage.
The client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Paws Unleashed and its employees from any and all claims, losses, damages, liabilities and expenses (including legal fees) arising from or in connection with the services provided, except where such claims arise from our gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
If any provision of these terms and conditions is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these terms and conditions will otherwise remain in full force and effect.
Dog Walking Services
Service Agreement: We agree to provide dog walking services as agreed upon during the booking process. This includes the duration of the walk, the number of dogs, and any specific requirements you have.
Lead Policy: For the safety of your dog and others, all dogs will be walked on a lead unless deemed appropriate and safe by Paws Unleashed and with explicit permission from the owner as detailed on the sign-up sheet. Dogs will only be allowed off lead with consent from the owner. You acknowledge and accept the associated risk with off-lead walking should you give consent for your dog to be walked off lead.
Inclement Weather: In cases of extreme weather (e.g., severe storms, extreme heat or cold), we may shorten walks or provide a comfort break and home visit instead for your pet's safety and well-being. We will communicate any such changes to you and ask for your preferences should walks not be able to commence. If walks are cancelled due to extreme weather and home visits are not required, no charge or cancellation fee will be applicable.
Cancellation Policy: We require 24 hours' notice for the cancellation of any scheduled dog walk. If less than 24 hours' notice is given, the full walk fee will be charged.
Payment for Walks: Payment for all walks will be invoiced at the end of each month. Payment is due within 10 days of the invoice date and can be made by cash or bank transfer.
You agree to provide Paws Unleashed with access to your home to collect your pet if you will not be at home during scheduled walks. If a dog cannot be accessed at the time of their scheduled walk, the full fee for the walk will be charged.
If you provide a key for use to access your home, this key will be kept secure and with no identifiable client information. Should you leave Paws Unleashed, any key provided will be returned to you at the end of any services rendered.
Clients must provide a well fitting collar or harness.
It is the clients responsibility to ensure their dog is well hydrated prior to any walks and has access to fresh water following returning from a walk.
Pet Sitting Services
Service Agreement: We will provide pet sitting services as agreed upon, including feeding, fresh water, exercise, administration of medication (if applicable and agreed upon), and companionship for your pet(s) during the agreed-upon period.
Home Access: You agree to provide us with necessary access to your home for the duration of the pet sitting booking (e.g., keys, alarm codes). Keys will be kept secure and returned promptly after the service concludes.
Prior to commencement of the pet sit, you are responsible for providing instructions regarding your pets schedule (feeding times, amount of food, medication needs, preferred walk times and duration etc.)
If you are delayed in returning home, you must notify Paws Unleashed as soon as is reasonably practical and provide updates on expected return time. We will continue to provide care for the pet(s) at the standard rate until the clients return or additional arrangements are made.
You must inform Paws Unleashed of the areas of your house that will be accessible to the sitter.
Supplies: You are responsible for ensuring there are adequate supplies for your pet(s) for the entire duration of the booking, including food, treats and medication
Cancellation Policy: We require 7 days' notice for the cancellation of any pet sitting booking. If less than 7 days' notice is given, the full booking fee will be charged.
Payment for Pet Sitting:
For customers not on a current walking plan: Payment for pet sitting services is required upfront, 7 days before the start date of the booking.
For customers on a current walking plan: Payment for pet sitting services will be invoiced at the end of the month in which the service was provided. Payment is due within 10 days of the invoice date and can be made by cash or bank transfer.
Payment Terms
Late Payments: A late fee of £10 per day will be applied to any payments not made within the specified 10-day payment term.
