Hi, I’m Luke
I'm a lifelong local with a deep love for dogs, a passion that started right here at home with our family dog, Lexi. My journey to becoming a full-time dog walker has been a little winding, but every step has brought me closer to what I truly love to do.
After university, where I studied forensic and clinical psychology, I spent about six years working in mental health within the NHS. It was a rewarding but demanding career. All that time, I desperately longed for my own dog, but 12-hour shifts just didn't feel fair to a furry companion who deserved so much more time and attention. I truly thought dog ownership would have to wait until retirement!
About three years ago, I started looking for ways to bring more dogs into my life. I began offering home boarding and walking services part-time on my days off. My very first customer was a wonderful German Shepherd named Jaxx (pictured). Jaxx was a rescue with a history of aggression towards people and dogs, and his owners shared that he still felt uncomfortable around other dogs. They entrusted me with his unique needs, and I admit, we were both a little unsure at first! But a powerful bond quickly formed. Jaxx's owners often told me they couldn't trust anyone else with his care the way they trusted me. He holds a truly special place in my heart – so special, in fact, that he's even part of my logo!
Working with Jaxx opened my eyes to a new path. It showed me that caring for dogs could be more than just a hobby; it could be my calling. I continued with the part time home boarding and walking until last year, where I took a leap of faith. I left the NHS to fully dedicate myself to a full-time dog walking business, and honestly, I haven't looked back.
Now, instead of burnout and paperwork, my days are filled with the wagging tails and happy barks of my canine friends. There's nothing quite like seeing a dog's excitement in the window when my van pulls up, or their joyful leaps at the front door. These moments truly make me smile every single day.
For me, safety and fun are always at the heart of every walk. I pride myself on honesty, integrity, safety, and trust, ensuring your beloved pet is not just cared for, but truly happy and secure.
I'd love to meet you and your dog! Please feel free to get in touch to book a free, no-obligation meet and greet. I'm looking forward to hearing from you soon!

“We left our GSD with Luke this week, he was absolutely brilliant with him. Communication was great throughout the stay and he sent plenty of pictures to keep our mind at ease that Jaxx had settled in and was having a good time!. He also made sure he was well walked on pick up day too which was super helpful for us. 10/10 highly recommended and we’ve already booked Jaxx in again for another stay”
